Direct Replacement (OEM Integrated)
The enlarged tank directly replaces the factory main fuel tank while retaining the original fuel pump, fuel-level sender and factory fuel system functions. No separate transfer pump, auxiliary controller or additional fuel management system is required.
Gauge Behavior: The factory fuel gauge and low-fuel warning remain functional. Because the original fuel-level sender is retained, the gauge continues to respond to the fuel level inside the tank. With the increased capacity, the gauge may remain at Full longer after refueling before beginning to drop. The vehicle’s Distance to Empty (DTE) estimate is still calculated using the factory vehicle logic and is not recalibrated specifically for the 135L tank. Actual remaining driving range may therefore differ from the displayed DTE.
